Police (all white in a city, Washington D.C., that is mostly black) remained passive while seven Nazis, carrying Confederate and Apartheid South Africa banners, formed a line to block the May Day march. Only when the provocation began to achieve its goal of causing a fight, they did intervene. Watch:
