France: Nuclear accident takes two lives

The accident happened at Cattenom Nuclear Power Plant, near the border of Luxemburg, in the largest densely populated region of Europe, the economic heartland of the EU.

At the moment it is unclear if the accident also poses other risks or it was a simple labor accident without radioactive implications.

Source: Ex-SKF (citing a press release from French nuclear authorities, the info is scant).

Update: EneNews mentions that the accident was the collapse of a nacelle, killing two and injuring a third worker. It would seem that the accident happened in a section of the plant closed for maintenance.
