The long-lived casal popular (people's home) of the Barcelonan neighborhood of Gràcia has survived a bit more. And it is survival what allows life to begin with.
The huge number of people that arrived to protect the center dissuaded police forces from proceeding with the eviction for fear of triggering a major riot.
