Basque Country: Spain forbids protest against political arrest

The reactionary imperialist forces of France and Spain keep working to sink the peace process. A few days ago, the French authorities arrested Navarrese citizen Ernesto Prat at Pau, where he was living normally, in the context of political persecution in the zone occupied by Spain, and is planning to extradite him to Spain, where he can suffer tortures and will be subject to a political process with no guarantees only for his ideology and political activities.

In response several Basque political parties representing an important sector of society called for a protest in Pamplona demanding his legal security, which was forbidden by the new conservative (euphemism for fascist) state delegate (regional governor or viceroy).

They have denounced this attitude with deep concern that it may be a sustained attempt to sabotage the peace process, because what would be expected at this point is a reduction of repression and not an increase of it, almost as telling ETA: we don't want peace, please take up arms again.
