Update on the London riots

There is no update: the news item seems to have vanished from the news. Nothing to see here, move on.

Actually I managed to find out that they have been forcibly removed by police and that there are at least 30 people arrested and some injured, including a few cops.

However the reports that say that they were only in the lobby of the Tory Party's heaquarters at Millbank are false: they took over the whole building, as this photo, with an Autonomist flag and an unreadable red banner clearly evidences:

Strikes to come in Britain and Portugal

I also managed to know that British unions are planning large scaled strikes against the draconian budget cuts, which imply, among other brutalities firing 500,000 public servants.

In Portugal also the major union, communist CGTP, is calling for a single-day general strike next November 24.

Update: This photo is too good not to deserve and update, it has a sense of deja vú and kinda makes one realize that the red thread coming back from at least the late 1960s, through three generations of Europeans has been worth all the effort and frustrations and that Thatcherism (Reaganism) has only been an illusory parenthesis:

The cycle is back ahead, the reactionary phase is over.
